(Hartford) Up at 7.15. Cool day. Wrote letters until 10.30. Downtown after call at Father's. Examined and sorted papers at table. Letters from Fred, Walter, Mr. Camp & Gray. Downtown again before tea. Bought fish, meat, etc. at Stevens. Down to depot after tea. Met Bern at cars. He came to house. Went with him later to City Hall. Home at 9.30. Wrote up diary. Sent off eleven S.S. letters and one other. Made entries in monthly a/p. Wrote again on letters. Retired at 11.15 in front room, leaving Bern in South room.
