(Hartford) Up at 7.30. Worked on essay. Wrote Miss Bacon. Downtown before dinner. Sent three S.S. letters and one other. Fletcher off at 4pm for New York. Sent telegram for state-room. At 7.15 for New Haven. Wrote on cars. Went to steamer Elna City. Wrote awhile. At 12 left dock. Retired at 12.15.
