(Chattanooga, Tenn.) Up at 7.30. After breakfast out to visit S.S.'s. Rainy day. Visited Presb'n, So. Meth. & Cumb. Presb. & Epis. S.S.'s. Preached in forenoon from Matt XXII 36,37. At 2.30pm went to Colored S.S. spoke there. Met Mr. Monteith. Thence to Epis. Ch. to attend and address Union S.S. meeting. Spoke there. Went home to tea with Mr. Monteith. Wrote awhile to Alice after return to room. Retired at 11.35.
