Sunday, July 11, 1869

(Winchester, Mass.) Up at 7.30. Bright, warm day, but delightful breeze. Made ready for the day's services. Rode to Woburn with Mr. Pollard. Preached from Mark 1.37 at Congl Church. Spoke at noon in S.S. main & inft dep'ts. Back to Winchester with young Pollard, met Pratt at his church. All to Pratt's together. In afternoon attended Winchester S.S. Concert. Subject: The Good Shepherd. Spoke, with blackboard notes, on Lost Sheep & Good Shepherds call to them. Rode with Mr. Chase to Newton Corner. Severe thunderstorm came up in afternoon. Addressed S.S. Anniversary at Eliot Ch. Newton Corner in evening. Gov. Claflin there, also Gen. Blakeslee. Home for night with Mr. Mackintire & Mr. Cobb. Retired, at home of latter at 11.15.
