(Hartford) Up at 7.30. Still quite weak. Mother called. Wrote letters. Downtown to post-office and Talcott & Posts. Off for Boston at noon. Dined at Massasoit. Wrote Gray, Mr. Camp & on essay. Reached Boston at 5. Shute met me. Sat in his office until 7.30. Went to Parker House. Wrote on essay until nearly midnight. Shute called in evening. Retired at 12. Sent two S.S. letters and one other.
