(Hartford) Up at 7.40. Cold day. Frost had shown itself during night. Wrote again on article for Advance. Off for East Hartford at 10.15 with Fletcher. Attended semi-centennial of S.S. at Cong'l Ch. there. Heard Rev. Mr. Holmes preach historical discourse. Rev. Dr. Tarbox & Rev. Mr. Butler spoke of old times. Home at noon with Rev. Mr. Wilson & Geo. Langdon. At 12pm, started in carriage with Alice, Sophy, & May for East Hartford. In afternoon meeting there spoke to children. Attended pic-nic in grove. Home by cars at 6. Downtown at 8.45. May had toothache. Called at Mother's. Wrote again on Advance. Retired at 12.05. Sent one letter.
