(Hartford) Up at 7.10. Down to post-office & to depot before breakfast. Wrote sundry letters. Made out monthly a/p. Sent off ten S.S. letters and three others. Off at noon, by express train for New Haven. Met Fred Fish & Mrs. Merriam on cars. At New Haven called on Miss Bacon. Back to Meriden by 3.15 train from New Haven. There me Alfred Taylor. With him visited State Reform School. Talked to boys there. Took tea with Dr. Hatch. Home by evening express train. Met P. H. Reilly on cars. Downtown to post-office. Walked with Mr. Nott home & called at father's. Met Jas. Bustch there. Retired at 11.30.
