(Hartford) Up at 6.15. Off with Alice at 8.10 for Greenwich to attend regimental re-union. Made notes on cars. Met Drs. Newton & Hart, Gens. Otis & Goodyear & others of reg't on cars. At Greenwich about noon. Rode to Annie's. Gave her photograph of ferns. With all hands to Americus Club grounds. Large gathering of regiment there. After business meeting, had dinner in grove. Speeches after dinner. Spoke on The Tie That Binds Us As Army Comrades. Back to Slosson's. Gen Otis & wife with us. Rode about 9pm. 000 Cob bridge. An owl-train there. Wrote sketch of re-union as we rode. F. G. Knight on train. Home at 12.45am. Retired at 1.15.
