(Hartford) Up at 7.45. Tel'd Marsh. Wrote up cash a/p and on diary. Downtown. Called at Gen. Hawley's and bank. Home and packed. Off at 12.20 for Springfield. Dined at Massasoit. Met Marsh. Off for Northampton at 1.45. Met Walter there. Called at Bridgeman's and on Miss Mather. Rode to Amherst. Walter rode with use there and brought back team. Called at hotel, Dr. Dole's, and Rev. J. L. Jenkin's. Stopped with latter for the night. Profs. Goodall and Clark Seelye called. Worked on sermon. Retired at 10.50. Sent three S.S. letters, three telegrams and one other letter and one telegram.
