(Hartford) Up at 6. At 8.10 off with Alice & Ally for New Haven. No letter from Fred! At New Haven, left Alice & Ally. They went to Bridgeport. Called at North's, Ward's, Jarman's, Peck's, etc. Off for Guilford at 11. Called at Rev. Mr. Hall's to see about Swiss costumes. Dined at hotel. Back to New Haven at noon. Called at costumer's. Off for Bridgeport at 4.30, after a call at Miss May Bacon's. At Bridgeport met Alice, Sophy, May & Ally. All home together by evening express. Letter from Fred. His Sunday letter still behind. Downtown to mail. Sent two S.S. letters and two others. Long talk with Alice. Called at James & Father's. Retired at midnight.
