(Putnam, Ct.) Up at 6. Bright day & cool. Off at 7.40 for home via Plainfield. Met Fletcher on cars. Wrote on letter to Fred. Home with headache at 11.30. Alice had had trying time with sickness. Alice & Bridget Clancy & Ally had been sick. Downtown after dinner & letter writing. Sent four S.S. letters and two others. After tea walked to Gov. Jewell's. Downtown with Alice for washroomware. Called at Dr. Hunt's. At depot met Gov. Jewell. Home at 9.40. Balanced cash. Retired at 10.45.
