(Hartford) Awoke at 8.30 with heavy heart. After breakfast, called at Bromley's and on H. C. Robinson; also at bank, and Ruggles & Barrow's and book-binders. At noon rec'd New York papers with anxiety. Name given wrongly in Brooklyn news items. Thank God! Wrote letters in afternoon. Off for Boston at 7.15. Reached Parker House and retired at 2am. Sent eight S.S. letters and two others.
