(Sharon, Ct.) Up at 7.30. Rainy day. Attended session of S.S. Convention at Congl. Ch. Spoke on relation of teacher to class during the week. Defended also, Bible study as a regular service against statements as to West from Rev. Mr. Bassett of Warren. In aftn. spoke to children, using deaf-mute signs in illustration. Convention closed before tea. In evening, met a number of friends at Gen. Sedgwick's. Pleasant evening. Retired at 10.30.
