(Hartford) Up at 8. Called at Father's. Downtown with Gurdon. Called at Talcott & Post's, Conn. Gen. Life Ins. Office, Paine's, Courant office etc. Rode to Wethersfield to see Capt Hunt. Home to dinner again downtown. Rode to Capt. Hunt's house - Hunted for Paine. Fred's Sunday letter came. Wrote Fred. Found Paine. Wrote again to Fred. Miss Mary Roberts at house to tea. Down to post-office in evening. Brought home costumes. Wrote up diary. Retired at 10.30.
