(Hartford) Up at 8.10. Wrote awhile. Over to Gurdon's. He went with me down-town. Out to Frank Bunce's. Off at 12.50pm for New York. Tel'd Fred and Kate. Met Rev. Dr. R. S. Storrs Jr. on cars. Delayed in reaching New York. At 5th St. Hotel about 5.50. Thence to Van Santvood's - 66 W 11th St. to find Fred. Dined there. After chat with Mr. Van S., started to look for Fred. Called at his uncle John's in 30th St. Found him at his uncle Henry's in 28th St. Back to Van Santvood's with him. Retired at 11. Wrote two S.S. letters and one other.
