(Hartford) Up at 7.45. Rainy morning. Cleared up. Wrote up diary. Downtown. Off for Springfield at 12.20. Dined at Massasoit. At 1.45 off for Mr. Tom Station and East Hampton. About 3 reached Williston Academy and found Walter Camp. Called with him at Knights. Met Dr. Seelye. Took supper at Mansion House. Off for Mr. Tom at 6.30. Stopped there some time. Fred busy with Charley Williams. Off for Northampton at 7.30. Reaching there, hunted in vain for Miss Mather. Went to Mansion House for night. Fred's cold very bag. Went for medicines for him. Retired at 10.15. Tel'd Wurts.
