(Hartford) Bright and lovely day. Up at 6.40. After breakfast, off at 8.10 for Meriden. Met Bryan, of Springfield Republican, on cars. At Meriden, bought water cooler and salver for Fletcher. Wrote on letter and diary in depot. Home at noon. In aft'n went to post-office, read letters, wrote awhile. At 6.45 went to Mr. Richmond's to attend wedding of Wm. I. Fletcher and Annie Richmond. Assisted at ceremony. Met Rev. Dr. Daggett & Mr. Poole. Mr. Allen passed night with us. Retired at 12. Sent three S.S. letters and one other.
