(Hartford) Up at 8. Cool morning. Wrote on article for "Advance", on Reviews. Down to Geer & Pond's, Nittinger's, etc. Obtained money on post office order. Wrote on Independent items, and to J. B. Frank & C. F. Richardson. Downtown to Talcott & Pond's and offices of Courant and Post; also to Brown & Gross' & H. Haven's. In evening out to Camps. Met Mr. Childs and had talk with him. Wrote up diary. Took bath. Wrote letters. Sophy slept with Fannie Smith. Retired at 11, at Father's.
