(New York) Up at 7. After breakfast at the Grand Union down to Wisewell's. Met Kingsbury, Priest, and Wisewell there. Downt to Schermerhorn's. Bought books. Down to Independent office. Back with Johnny up town to Dr. Clark's. Dined at Grand Union. Off at 3pm for home. Met J. B. Smith. Wrote on Independent copy. At home about 7.30. Called at Father's. Finished copy for Independent. Retired at 10.30.
