(Hartford) Up at 7.15. Cooler morning. John B. Smith called. Downtown with him. Called at Talcott & Posts, & bank, & telegraph office with Johnny. At Father's. He very weak. Balanced cash. Man came to put down carpet in the library. Busy afternoon moving furniture about. In evening down with Alice to cars about 9.40 to see Susie off for New York. Stopped at Father's. Retired at 10.30.
