(Hartford) Up at 7.10. Bright morning. Pleasant hour of home worship. Called at Father's. Downtown with Frank Allen. Called at Cheney Bros. on Morgan St., also at Bank. After dinner, off at 2 for Windsor Locks. Wrote on Concert exercise for January. At Windsor Locks with Allen met Mr. Hayden at public school buildings. Went to his office. Sat there two hours writing. Finished Concert exercise after return to Hartford by 545pm train. Allen off to S. Manchester for night at 6.20. At Father's in evening. Gurdon furnished pistachio ice-cream. Down to depot with Johnny to mail letters. Retired at 11.15.
