(Hartford) Cool, bright morning. Up at 7.25. Wrote up diary. Read letters. Balanced cash. Wrote on copy for "World". Downtown with Johnny. Frank Allen returned from Manchester about 4.30. Met him at cars. Dinner about 5.30. Pleasant chat with Allen in evening. Called with him on the Misses Williams about 9.30. Retired about 11.45.
