(Eastern Point) Up at 6.30. Over to New London with Alice and Ally and Annie and Johnny. At Dr. Sheffield's to have Annie's tooth attended to. Off at 11.15 for Saybrook Junction. Met Gen. Hawley there. Col. Selden on cars. Chat with him about Juvell Kellogg, etc. Up to Hartford, with Hawley & Selden, reaching there about 2.30. At Father's. Dined there. Down to Steele's. Obtained studs & had watch regulated. Off at 7.05 for Springfield and Rutland with Gen. Hawley, to attend reunion of veteran soliders of Vermont. At Rutland about 2.30. Lunched in depot. Retired at Bardwell House about 3am.
