(Eastern Point) Up at 6.50. Cloudy, stormy day. Windy and rough. Worked again on Concert exercise. Off to Edgecombe House for 11.35 boat. Too rough for her trip. Rode to Groton. Over to New London by ferry boat. Engaged state-room for evening. Obtained washing and paid bill at Crocker's. Met Johnny by 1.15 train. Back with him to Capt. Spicer's. Took nap. Up to Edgecombe House and Boston with Johnny and Alice. Over to New London with Alice. Johnny returned. Called at post-office. Wrote letters at boat. Finished monthly statement. Corrected proof for "World". Met Mr. Leveridge. Retired at 11.
