(Hartford) Up at 9.10. Bright warm day. Walked to East Hartford Cong. Church. Heard Rev. S. H. Lee preach from text "If ye love me, keep my commandments". Attended S.S. Heard Infant Class recite Golden Texts. Spoke to the children. Called at John B. Smith's. Saw Miss Morris, who was ill there. Smith walked back with me to Hartford. After dinner at Father's attended S.S. of Asylum Hill Cong. Church. Met Mrs. Chas. Howard. Had long talk with her about Stonington matters. Read and chatted at Father's during remaineder of day and evening. Talked of "Four Gospels and One Christ". Retired at 10.
