(Eastern Point) Up at 6.45. Cloudy morning. John B. Smith off soon after breakfast. Off with Anny Ryan for New London and Hartford. Met Smith at New London. Off with him at 11.15 by Shore Line. Met Fred Camp & Mrs. Hall. Smith stopped at Niantic. Wrote letters and read papers on cars. At Hartford about 2.40. Dined at depot restaurant. At Father's about 3. All well. Obtained circulars and sent them to Langdon. Met Mr. Onatt at depot. At Fessenden's, Leyan's, Steele's, etc. Out to Mr. Kup's and Camp's after tea. Wrote up diary. Retired at 11.
