(Hartford) Up at 7.15. Rainy morning. Clear and warm day. Out to Camps after breakfast. Down to Steele's, Leyns', Nittinger's, etc., at home with Sophy and May. Off at 2.15 with Sophy for New London. Wrote up diary. At New London about 5.30. Johnny and Ally met us. Over to Groton. At Capt. Spicer's about 6.15. Back with Johnny by 7.25pm boat. At Mr. Haven's about 8.15. Pleasant evening with him and W. R. Burnham. Retired with Johnny about 10.
