(Eastern Point) Up at 6.45. Cloudy morning but clearing. Off with Smith for New London by 9.55 boat. Met Mr. Leveridge at New London depot and had long talk with him over Union matters. Off for Hartford by Shore and Valley lines at 11.15. At Hartford about 2.40. Down to bank. Up to Nittinger's. At Father's. Out to Camps. Off at 6.15 for New London. Wrote up diary. Balanced cash. Waited two hours at Willimantic. Talked with Prof. Johnson of Trinity College, as to S.S. History and ideas. At New London about 11.10. Retired, at Crocker's Hotel about 11.45.
