(Hartford) Up at 7.15. Downtown. Called at Father's. Voted for town officers and on capitol amendment. At minister's meeting heard discussion of prayer meeting theme. Johnny returned at noon. Balanced cash. Lent money to Philadelphia. Called at bank. Off in evening for New York. Very stormy evening. Stopped at Grand Union Hotel. Johnny with me. Retired at 11.45.
