(Brooklyn, N.Y.) Up at 6.45. Bright, warm day. Over to New York with Alice, Bern, Wallace & Mr. Fessenden. Called with Alice at Wisewell's, at Vincent's, and shopping at various points; also at Prime's. At Grand Central depot about noon. Dined at Hotel nearby. Bought peaches. Off by 1pm train for New London. Wrote up diary. Wrote notes for Independent. At New London at 5.15. Met Johnny. Off for Capt. Spicer's at 5.20. There about 6.30. Pleasant evening with family. Retired about 9.45.
