(Hartford) Rainy morning day. Up at 8.15. Downtown with Johnny. Bought valise. Had hair cut. Off at 1.38 for Springfield. Fletcher on cars. Called at Holland's. Thence to Bradley & Co's. Bought games. Off for home at 5.10. Wrote up diary. Home about 6.30. Corrected proof of "Review Exercises" and articles for World. Down to depot to mail letters. Retired at 10.30.
