(New London, CT) Johnny off by 7am train for 00000 on Valley R.R. to start a S.S. Up at 7.30. Met Bromley. Breakfasted with him. At post-office received lot of letters and papers. Wrote in room during most of forenoon. John B. Smith joined me at dinner. Passed an hour or two with him looking over Review Exercise for Nat'l S.S. Teacher. Off for Capt. Spicer's by 5.30pm boat. All well at house. Retired at 10. O.D. Case and family came from Hartford to Capt. Spicer's by 5.30 boat from New London.
