(Hartford) Up at 7.20. Bright cool day. Mr. Kingsbury called after breakfast. Wrote letters and notes for Independent. Looked over books and papers. Called at Father's. Johnny back at noon. Over to Father's after dinner. He came to house with Giles and myself. Wrote up diary in evening. Called at Father's again. Erwin boys called. Retired at 10.40.
