(Hartford) Up at 7.45. Bright mild morning. Colder after a few hours. Wrote letters. Called at Father's. Had talk with Gurdon about his habits. Wrote again after dinner. Downtown with Johnny before supper. Telegraphed in forenoon to Mr. John Ashworth, in care of Mr. Miller, inviting him to house. Paid bill of picture-frame-maker. Down to cars to meet Mr. Ashworth. No word from him. Late supper. Called at Father's with Mrs. Turnbull. Retired at 11.40.
