(Winnipawk) Up at 7.15. Cloudy, close morning. Read in Solid for Solitary. Off with E. C. Bissell for So. Norwalk soon after 9. Thence for hom by 9.40 express train. Sat with E. B. Huntington until we reached New Haven. Wrote up diary. At home to dinner. Called at Father's. Off at 1.37 with Sophy & May for White River Junction. At Junction House about 8. Met family from Texas on cars, bound for Rudolph. Read Ancient History of the East. After supper mailed letter to Independent. Retired at 10. Wakeful night.
