(Boston) Up at 7. Sultry day. At Shute's after breakfast. Bought parasol for Sophy and doll for Annie. At 0000, Holmes & Co. Over to Charlestown with Sophy, to see Mr.s Heard. She ill. Back to Boston. Shute dined with us. Off at 3pm for home. Home about 7.30. Mr. Hadder, of London called. Fletcher announced his plans for Eastern Point. Long talk with Johnny about his meeting the issue. Called at Nathan's. Annie had toothache. Retired at 11.
