(Hartford) Up at 7.45. Cloudy and clearing day. Wrote on Independent lesson notes at Father's. Johnny swamped papers in upper room. Put glass in picture frame for hall, and broke it. Mr. Trask came and took measure for perch for bird. Downtown in afternoon. Off at 7.20. Telegraphed Prime. Met Mr. & Mrs. E. H. Payer on cars. At Prime's about 11.30. Supper there. Retired at 12.30.
