(Hartford) Up at 7.45. Bright morning. Played rings with Sophy & Johnny. Wrote up diary. Balanced cash. Downtown with Johnny to market, bank, Talcott & Post's, "Courant" office and City Hotel. After dinner hanged pictures. Made salad dressing. Miss Cushing, Kinney, Merriam, & Childs came to tea. Played needle gun game & ring toss. Mr. Hurd called. Called at Father's. Retired at 11.
