(Hartford) Up at 7.30. Bright and beautiful day. At Father's after breakfast. Downtown hunting flower pot etc. Met Rev. J. Fleming Stevenson. Made ready for a start to Norwich. Again at Father's. Met Mr. Stevenson at depot. Gave him books. Off at 2.15 for Norwich. Met Atwood Collins on cars. Wrote up diary. At Norwich met Fred Camp. Went with him to his room. Met Gen Coit and W. R. Burnham. At Wauregan had talk with Col. Tenney about Murrany and other ministers. Called with Fred on Miss Blackstone. Had long talk with Fred about his ways with me. Retired, with Fred about 11.30.
