(Hartford) Up at ___. Attended Asylum Hill Congl. Church. Heard Rev. E. G. Beckwith preach on Paul before Felix. Saw him at close of service. Read and looked over papers. Met Gurdon, and talked about sermon. Called at Father's. Out to S.S. but came back without ordering it. Seymour Tryon called with Johnny. Built fire in library in early evening. Pleasant hour of worship. Sophy not well. Retired at 9pm.
