(Hartford) Up at 7.15. Rainy morning. Off at 8.10 for New Haven with Johnny who rode as far as Berlin. Wrote notes of letter to Asylum Hill Contributors. Miss Annie Dickenson on cars. Saw Mr. Camp of New Britain and Rev. Mr. Buckely of New Britain. At New Have called at North's. Off at 10.55 after call at Jarman's. for East River. Thence with Gen. Ingersoll to H. G. H. Murray's farm. Pleasant gathering there. Gen. Clafkin, O. H. Platt, Dr. A Hammersmith, etc. Dinner at the carriage house. Off for home at 4. At home about 7.15. Talk about Sophy with Alice. Retired at 10.45.
