(Lynn, Mass.) Up at 7. Out with Maynard to his office. Thence to prayer meeting at Friends Meeting House. At 10.10 at Conference. Morning discussion on the °°°°°°°°°°° of Friends as a subject of instruction. Dined at Maynard's. Made ready for afternoon session. At 2.30 made address on the essentials of successful S.S. teaching. Mr. Smith and Mr. Bailey followed with addresses on the Bible. Met H. L. Hastings of "The Christian". Off at 6 for Boston. Supped at Parkers with Shute & George. Off for home at 9pm. Slept in sleeping car. Home and abed at 1.50 am.
