(Hartford) Up at 8. Sunny morning. Burned Fred's letters in grate. Wrote letters. Wrote up diary. Downtown, after call at Father's, with Johnny. Called on Rev. Mr. Richardson. Off by fast express, at 1.50 for New York. Telegraphed Prime and Allen. Balanced cash on cars. Talked with Johnny about Sophy. Wrote and read for Independent notes. At Prime's to dinner. Out in evening to Centrol Meth. Ch. to Supts. Sociable. Discussion on the Three Great Needs of the S.S. Met Vincent, Taylor, Searle, Allen, Ferris, Hurd, Smith, etc. Back to Prime's at 10.30. Retired at 12.15.
