Sunday, December 7, 1873

(Englewood, N.J.) Up about 7.30. Cool day. Head aching. Out to Presb. Church S.S. at 9.30. Then at church. Heard Rev. Mr. Booth preach from Philippians iii 12. Back to Peters to lunch. Talked earnestly with him as to faith for our children and our scholars. Out in afternoon to church and addressed S.S. Miss. Assn. at its quarterly meeting from Psalm 119:105. After tea rode to Teaneck to see Lyman Burnett, who was down sick. Rev. Mr. Booth called at Peter's, after our return. Further talks with Peters on faith. Retired at 11.40.
