(Hartford) Up at 7.15. Cold day. Wrote on Independent items. Mr. Haven called and dined with us. Downtown with Johnny. At bank, book-binders, Steele's, Bullard's, frame-makers, and furniture dealers. Paid Geo. T. Brown's next bill. At Father's. Prime off at noon. Wrote up diary. Worked on concert exercise. Fred Camp came on evening train. George came a little later. Downtown with Fred. Retired about midnight.
