(Hartford) Up at 7.40. Corrected proof of circular. Wrote letters and looked over papers. At Father's to write for an hour or two. Wrote up diary. Took nap of three hours after dinner. Wrote out monthly statement. Took tea at Father's. Out in evening with Alice, Johnny, & Sophy to hear Thos. Nast on 'Caricature'. Called at Father's. Retired at 11.30.
