(Hartford) Up at 8. Cloudy day. Wrote and examined papers. Packed for a start. Corrected proof of Concert exercise on the Passover. Called at Father's. Off with Sophy at 12.20 for Boston. Wrote up diary. Wrote Rice, Wisewell, Prime, Wattles, and an article on Bible Reading for S.S. World before reaching Worcester. Obtained mileage tickets at Springfield. Wrote J. N. Baker. at Shute's office about 5pm. Lunched in Temple Place. Out to Jamaica Plain with Mr. Manning (took Sophy with me) by 545pm train. Took tea with the Mannings. Out to Bap. Church for evening. Addressed gathering as to work of S.S. Union and methods of teaching. Rode thence with S. B. Pratt to his new home. After supper retired at midnight.
